NAPIT’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a simple route for installers to become registered and enable them to install renewable technologies and introduce Feed-in-Tariffs (FIT’s) and Government Grants through the Renewable Heating Incentive (RHI) to their customers.
What is MCS?
Over the next few years thousands of UK properties will benefit from renewable technologies being installed, only installations using MCS registered installers and MCS Certified products will be eligible for financial incentives. This provides an excellent business opportunity for installers to get involved in this quickly emerging market.
How do I become registered?
NAPIT Certification is a UKAS accredited Certification Body approved to assess and certificate installers of the following equipment:
- Solar thermal hot water
- Micro-CHP (co-generation)
- Solar photovoltaic
- Ground source heat pumps
- Wind turbines
- Air source heat pumps
- Small scale hydroelectricity
- Biomass heating systems
