Passivent Natural Ventilation Products

Building regulations throughout the UK and Ireland require the ventilation of commercial properties. Passivent have a range of innovative ventilation systems to:

- Meet the requirements of building regulations
- Provide natural and energy efficient ventilation for commercial buildings, such as, schools, sports halls, offices and libraries.
- Achieve effective, yet quiet ventilation, creating a healthy internal environment for the occupants of the building.

Passivent have developed a range of products, strategies and software tools used for the natural ventilation in commercial and non-domestic buildings including:

Airstract Terminals
Airstract (high capacity terminals) are roof-mounted passive stack ventilation devices designed to allow efficient air movement within buildings, driven only by the natural forces of wind and temperature. Manufactured from robust ABS or aluminium, they are available in a wide range of designs and finishes to suit many different building designs and roof colours.

Airscoop Displacement Ventilator
Airscoop is a top down, wind driven natural ventilation terminal that provide natural ventilation to large buildings such as sports halls, call centres and IT suites.
They are designed to ‘capture’ the prevailing wind and direct it via four separate chambers within the terminal to the space beneath. Research shows that air is constantly entering one or more of the chambers and exhausting via one or more of the chambers depending on the prevailing wind speed and direction. This ensures effective natural ventilation of the occupied space.

Aircool Façade Ventilators
The Aircool provides controlled ventilation through external walls and glazing systems. The electrically actuated ventilators provide controlled air intake and extract in natural (passive) ventilation systems, and may also be used for air intake or extract in mechanical ventilation systems. Controlled individually, or linked to an overall building management system, they are particularly suitable for night cooling through automatic control.

Passivent also offer a range of Daylighting systems, suitable for commercial buildingsSunscoop Tubular Rooflights are an effective way of bringing natural light into internal spaces that have few or insufficient windows.

Sunscoop tubular rooflights consist of a roof-mounted clear polycarbonate dome or skylight connected to a tube with an internal mirrored finish providing optimum specular reflectance. Natural daylight enters the dome and is reflected down the tube into the room.

Metro Rooflights
The range includes modular rooflights and access hatches manufactured from PVC-U and aluminium with a choice of double or triple polycarbonate glazing. All are suitable for new build and refurbishment projects, with both warm and cold deck roofs.

Litevent
The Litevent combines a controllable ventilator and rooflight, for installation on flat or low pitched roofs. It is designed to contribute to a reduction in energy demand in commercial buildings. The thermally insulated upstand and double skin glazing minimise heat loss. The height of the upstand will accommodate both warm and cold deck constructions without the need for additional timber kerb.
