As we progress to more efficient insulation and triple glazing there is a strong need for the recirculation of fresh air around the home. Single and whole house heat recovery units provide just that by allowing the stale air to pass out of the building meanwhile retaining the heat from that air and transferring it to the fresh air passing into the building.
