Kerto S
In Kerto-S, the grains run longitudinally throughout the veneer layers. It is a good choice for applications requiring long spans and minimal deflection. Suitable applications range from halls, public buildings and multi-storey timber buildings to one-of-a-kind dwellings. Kerto-S is appropriate for load bearing structures and can be used as roof and floor joists and lintels. The product is suitable to new construction as well as renovations where Kerto-S beams are a convenient way of supporting old structures or replacing them completely.
Kerto Q
With some of the veneers glued crosswise, Kerto-Q is ideally used as panels. Moisture-induced changes are minimal in Kerto-Q and the crosswise veneers help eliminate them further. The cross-veneers give Kerto-Q additional crosswise stiffness, allowing the panels to be used to enhance structural stability. As beams, the product is an excellent solution in applications requiring high shearing strength. As the cross-veneer structure considerably improves the vertical load bearing strength of Kerto-Q, it is also very good as lintel material.
