Pavatex is delivered to site ready to be installed on to the front face of the south side of the building before the lime render is applied. From manufacture to final disposal as waste, Pavatex products meet all ecological requirements. The raw material for the wood fibre insulation materials consists of slabs, splinters and wood chips of native softwoods which arise as byproducts in sawmills.
With wood, a raw material which is renewable, unlimited resources are available. In the manufacturing process in environmentally-friendly production plants, the use of artificial flame-proofing agents, fungicides and pesticides is deliberately avoided. The wood's own substance of lignin is used as the binder, without the addition of further external binding agents; lignin already performs this function in the tree.
Knauf Glass wool insulation is also delivered to site for use in the 1st floor gallery roof.
