This week we have experienced the heaviest rainfall for over 50 years which has resulted in flooding in many parts of the Midlands, including Leamington Spa. The river Leam burst its banks on Friday 20 July and the site was awash for the day. Drainage trenches resembled defensive moats and no work was possible for several days.
However, progress was made the following week in the laying of some drainage along the front of the site and the internal foundations being laid in the Northern wing.
