The SBC will be constructed on a brownfield site on the growing Wolseley Campus at Spa Park, Royal Leamington Spa. The plot is situated in the southern periphery of the site adjacent to the Wolseley Head Office building and the National Distribution Center.
The site was formerly occupied by Automotive Products housing a part of what was a large manufacturing plant supporting the West Midlands car industry with brake and suspension products (the Leamington football team are still called 'The Brakes').
The initial activity included site clearance, site strip and grub out which was all successfully achieved during the first week.
At the same time the compound and site offices were established ready for the initial groundworks planned to start at the end of June.
