Introduction
SOL Construction was founded in Nottingham in 1967. The company's countrywide operations are controlled from its head office on the outskirts of the city and from its regional office in the centre of Warwick. SOL undertakes construction work over a wide area of the country.
SOL's Nottingham office handles projects in both the public and private sectors on contracts ranging in the value from £100,000 upwards.
The Warwick office was acquired by the group in April 2000 and had been trading successfully in the West Midlands region for over 80 years. Handling projects from £50,000 upwards, the Division has built a reputation for quality in Building Maintenance, Small Works and Main Contracting over a wide geographical area.
Within SOL there are five operating divisions:-
- SOL Construction (Construction Projects) - All site production
- SOL Design & Build (Design & Build contracts) - Single source procurement
- SOL Building Maintenance - Specialists in Restoration and Maintenance
- SOL Special Projects - Small Works and Refurbishment
- SOL Homes - Residential Development
SOL Construction is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barkbury Limited.
