Waste

The amount of waste going to landfill has increased dramatically over recent years and as capacity runs out there is an urgent need to not only reduce the amount of waste but also to reuse and recycle.

The construction industry accounts for 33% of all waste that is produced in the UK.

The government has set targets to reduce household waste by 29% and commercial and industrial landfill by 20% by 2010.
