Water has become a more prominent issue over the past few years as the UK suffers both acute flooding and drought in following periods.
Hose pipe bans sometimes running into the autumn and winter mean consumers are looking for alternative ways to reduce their water consumption and allow them to make full use of the water that falls on their property.
Also, with more and more areas of the countryside being covered by impermeable surfaces the flood risks are increasing and coupled with higher than average rainfall means we need to pay more attention than ever to our urban drainage systems.
DID YOU KNOW?
The average European uses 200 litres and North Americans use 400 litres of water every day (Human Development Report 2006). The Code for Sustainable Homes demands that water consumption per person is cut to 80 litres per day to reach code level 5 and 6.
Why not take a look at some of our Sustainable Urban Drainage solutions or Rainwater Harvesting systems? We also have a range of water saving Bathrooms, Toilets and Brassware.
